Temporary installation accompanying the renaming of Théâtre de Namur to Prisme.
For Théâtre de Namur, B-bis developed a temporary installation to make the transition towards the new name and identity — Prisme — visible and legible.
Today, Théâtre de Namur and the Centre culturel de Namur operate across different sites in the city, each with a distinct identity of its own. The scenographic intervention forms part of a broader repositioning that brings both institutions together under a single cultural structure.
Starting from the historic 1863 theatre building, B-bis explored how visitors could experience the venue differently during the introduction of Prisme. The central question was how to create a temporary atmosphere that both introduces the new identity and allows the theatre to be read in a different way. The installation also supports the introduction of the new graphic identity and logo.
Three interventions were developed. On the façade, long banners marked the entrance and introduced the new identity into the urban landscape. In the entrance hall, a central table presented the 2026–2027 programme and the vision behind Prisme. In the foyer, two oversized twelve-metre-long tables created a collective meeting space within the theatre.
The installation was complemented by additional interventions carried out by the theatre itself, including large screens in the auditorium. Together, the interventions formed a temporary spatial framework for the introduction of Prisme.
