Coffee bar Xavier
Public buildings
Interior make over of a former restaurant building.
After the Second World War, this site was a popular attraction for the people of Ghent and the surrounding area. Today, our client breathes new life into it with the startup of a ‘living room’ coffee bar.
Different atmospheres were designed for each room. Materials were carefully chosen and inspired by a trip to Japan the owner made. Rooms were created by working with a rhythm of wooden columns that were left open or filled with glass or wooden panels. The raised stage floor creates suspense in the large space.
