For House H, B-bis renovated the kitchen and dining area of an existing home. The outdated spaces were transformed into an open and light-filled interior, strengthening the relationship between the house and the garden.

The interventions focus on spatial openness, daylight and material expression. In the kitchen, a large fixed window with integrated bench seating was introduced, while the dining area opens fully onto the garden through a large folding window. A new circular skylight brings additional zenithal light deep into the plan and visually connects the dining space with the adjacent living area.

The client — a fashion designer and art collector — wanted an expressive and colourful interior that reflects her personality and collection of artworks. The design responds through bold colour combinations, tactile materials and custom furniture pieces conceived in dialogue with the existing art.

Particular attention was given to preserving the original cement tiles, which held strong value for the client. All tiles were carefully removed and recovered. Where reuse was no longer possible, subtle PU floor “carpets” were inserted to complete the surfaces, allowing old and new elements to coexist naturally.

The focal point of the project is the sculptural kitchen island with a two-tone terrazzo worktop, bringing together colour, materiality and everyday use in a single gesture.
