House VC
Individual housing
A newly built house embedded in its hilly landscape. Through split levels and a continuous outer envelope, a strong relationship between living and landscape is established.
The programme is organised across split levels that follow the natural slope of the terrain. A green roof and black-stained timber cladding wrap the open plan, connecting the different levels into a coherent whole.
At the rear, a curtain wall opens the house towards the landscape, creating framed views of the surrounding greenery. Thermal mass and the regulating properties of clay plaster contribute to a stable and comfortable indoor climate.
