On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Veronique Branquinho’s fashion lable a retrospective - Moi, VERONIQUE. BRANQUINHO TOuTe NUe - was set up in The Fashion Museum of the Province of Antwerp (MoMu).
Veronique Branquino wanted to go deeper into the concept of the exhibition. To that purpose she called upon the Blitz trio, that consists of actor Oscar van den Boogard, actor Steven van Watermeulen and architect Sven Grooten.
B-architecten took care of the scenography in which the image of the red velvet curtain on the billboard, a reference to “The Red Room” in David Lynch’s television drama Twin Peaks, is the leitmotif.
The duality in Branquinho’s work is transposed to the exposition by the contrast between light and dark. The rooms move from dark and mysterious to bright and transparent.
