Pegode
Offices
A clear, modular office layout within a complex existing structure.
Pegode had the opportunity to relocate to a new office space within the same building. The existing layout, however, was a true maze — a succession of doors and small rooms in which orientation was far from obvious.
The challenge was to develop a new plan that could accommodate a large programme with limited means and little time, while creating a layout with minimal and intuitive circulation.
This resulted in a dense yet legible organisation, structured around a large meeting room that functions as a central square. Smaller meeting rooms, open and enclosed workspaces, and a generous lunch area cluster naturally around this core. The design eliminates corridors and dead ends, allowing colleagues to encounter one another more frequently and encouraging smoother collaboration.
B-bis developed a highly modular and deliberately ‘low tech’ concept — both in technical approach and material selection. This allowed the client to execute a significant portion of the works with their own maintenance team and trusted partners, while also simplifying future upkeep.
Pegode’s engaged and hands-on attitude led to a uniquely collaborative design-and-build process, resulting in a thoughtful and well-supported outcome.
