Two terraced houses are acoustically and thermally wrapped up and reorganized into a dwelling with a large garden and an apartment.
The apartment is given a modest addition with a view on the garden and a comfortable terrace. The outer wall at the back gets a new look and feel and becomes a patchwork in which as many of the original elements as possible are preserved. The existing lamp on the terrace is meticulously restored as a reference to the past.
The kitchen and the bathroom are robust and contemporary transpositions of the original sixties’ interiors.
