House VVK is a Renaissance-style residence characterised by its decorative historical detailing. Our intervention is mainly situated at the rear façade on the ground floor, where the kitchen and dining area were expanded.

The new volume is conceived as a curtain wall in natural-coloured aluminium. Its contemporary, slender expression contrasts deliberately with the historic architecture while remaining visually discreet. The glazed structure opens the living spaces to the garden and introduces generous daylight.

Inside, the redesigned kitchen takes centre stage. Reflective materials enhance the new terrazzo floor and give the space a distinctly modern, luxurious character. The new interior elements introduce a contemporary layer that complements the historic home while maintaining their own clear identity.

Several restoration works were carried out as well: replacement of exterior joinery, insulation of the rear façade, and the integration of the covered passageway into the overall renovation. The result is a subtle renewal of the home, balancing modern comfort with the preservation of its heritage qualities.
